Everything is somewhere. That's the problem.

Every home has the same search engine: standing in the garage, holding a box lid, shouting “have you seen the phone charger?” The stuff isn’t lost. It’s in a bin, on a shelf, in a closet — somewhere. The knowledge of which somewhere lives in one family member’s head, if it lives anywhere.

WhatDo?! solved this for the kitchen: know what you have, where it is, and what you can do with it. WhereThat?! is the same idea for the rest of the house.

Map it once, find it forever

  • Map the house: Rooms hold shelves, shelves hold bins, bins hold the stuff. The model mirrors how homes actually organize.
  • Search like you think: Type “phone charger” and get “Garage › Metal Shelf › Blue Bin. Probably.” The path, not just the answer.
  • Labels and lists: Bin labels, garage-sale picks, and the kids’ winter boots that are two sizes too small by now.

Technical approach

WhereThat?! is SwiftUI, sharing the design language and local-first instincts of the WhatDo?! family: your home inventory is yours, so the personal layer stays on device with private sync rather than on our servers.

The road ahead

WhereThat?! is in active development. The landing page is live at wherethatapp.com, and the app is headed for the App Store once the core map-and-search loop is worthy of the tagline.
